Copyright and content reports

1. Scope of this page

GamGam is an intermediary platform: profile photos, event covers, messages and other content are posted by users themselves, not by GamGam. We do not review that content before it is published (clause 6.5 of the Terms), but we do act when someone tells us there is a problem.

This page explains how to tell us and what we do next. It complements the Terms and does not replace them.

2. How to report a copyright infringement

If you own the rights to a work (a photograph, a text, a design) and believe it has been published on GamGam without your permission, write to support@gamgam.app with the subject "Copyright claim".

So that we can act quickly, your notice must include:

Knowingly filing a false claim may make you liable for the resulting damages, including legal costs.

3. What we do when we receive a claim

3.1. We acknowledge receipt of your notice.

3.2. We review the claim within 15 business days at the latest, counted from the date we receive it. In that review we check that the notice is complete, that the reported content exists in the app, and that the claim is well founded. We may ask you for further information; the deadline is paused while we wait for your reply.

3.3. If the claim is well founded, we remove or hide the content within the following 5 business days.

3.4. Where the infringement is obvious and needs no assessment — for example a stock photograph used as an event cover — we remove the content immediately, without using up the deadlines above.

3.5. We notify the user who posted the content, telling them why it was removed and how to respond.

3.6. We keep a record of the claim and of the action taken.

4. Counter-notice

If you posted the content and believe the removal was a mistake — because you do hold the licence, because the work is yours, or because your use is covered by a legal exception — write to support@gamgam.app with the subject "Counter-notice", explaining why and attaching whatever evidence you have (licence, purchase receipt, original file).

We will review the case and, where appropriate, restore the content and inform both parties.

5. Repeat infringer policy

5.1. Every removal for infringing third-party rights is recorded against the account of the user who posted the content.

5.2. We permanently terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. As a general rule, three upheld removals mean termination; a single blatant infringement may mean termination the first time.

5.3. Termination on these grounds applies to the person, not only to the account: creating a new account to get around it is itself a breach of the Terms.

6. If you appear in a photo

This is a different right from copyright: who took the photo is one thing, who appears in it is another. If you appear in content posted by someone else and want it taken down, you do not need to claim copyright: write to support@gamgam.app and we will handle it as a priority, as set out in clause 6.4 of the Terms.

7. Offensive or abusive content

GamGam has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Inside the app you can report a person or an event, and block any user, from their profile or from the conversation screen.

We review reports within 24 hours at the latest, and we remove content and suspend accounts that breach the rules of conduct in clause 5 of the Terms. Reports are confidential: the reported person never learns who reported them.
